I’ve been given 300 years to do my work. :- Doug.

Most in our society use “elderly” as a pejorative. Don’t use the word. Remember, elder is someone to respect: to see twice. :- Doug.

What is an elder? Guide and guardian, story-teller and time traveler, grandparent and grandchild, long thought thinker and tough question asker, present to you, mystery, and grace. :- Doug.

Elders are the inserted generation. :- Doug.

Many thresholds: many rooms, many dimensions, many colors, many airs, spreading, blending. :- Doug.

Three stages of eldering may be Spreading, Gathering, Loosening. :- Doug.

In eldering there are more than one threshold. :- Doug.

One is not elder once and done: usually one goes back and forth; sometimes eldering misses you: the trout does miss the fly. :- Doug.

Eldering starts as dying leaning into being, and continues to passing beyond being. Beyond this we do not see. :- Doug.

Wonder if there is a third stage of eldering before the other two: 1. active, reflective, beyond adult, focused on humanity, nurturing, wholeness; 2. caring for the soul of the world; 3. grace, presence, cosmos-spirit, wonder. :- Doug.

Now we are about mapping the eldering terrain. :- Doug.

More than teaching elders emphasize developing beings. :- Doug.

Elders examine reasons for standards. :- Doug.
