They are my family and
My work is opening space for humanity’s children and friends. Why? Because they are in community with me, they are my family and friends. :- Doug.

Do take thought for
You have heard it said, Take no thought for the morrow. I say Do take thought for the morrow’s children, that you bequeath them good grounding in which to eat, shelter, blossom, and sow ahead. :- Doug.
Give a job to invent
Give each generation a job to invent. :- Doug.
edge transition zones of grandchildren?
What are the natural successions, the profusions of leaves and roots, edge-transition zones, multiple canopies, the genius loci which occurs in crops and grandchildren? :- Doug.

Polyculture grandchildren
Polyculture posits not controlling conditions, but having enough variety that no matter the conditions, many flourish, and the others do not suffer unduly. Think polyculture of grandchildren. :- Doug.
Jump into community
We ask how we might jump into the stream of these ancestors, for it may just be possible to establish community with them. :- Doug.
Good they don’t see
People have good in them even when they don’t see it. :- Doug.
Each pledges?
What responsibility do we have to our 11th generation? What responsibility do they have to us? That is to say, what responsibility do we have to our 11th generation preceding ancestors? What does each pledge to the others? :- Doug.
It matters to ask
It matters what question you ask the grandchildren It matters that you ask the grandchildren :- Doug.
keep in store
Stories are the keep in store for future use of humanity :- Doug.
